New estimates for convex layer numbers

Starting with a finite point set X?Rd, the peeling process repeatedly removes of vertices convex hull current set. The number steps required to completely remove X is called layer X, denoted by L(X). In article, we study evenly distributed families sets contained in Bd, d-dimensional unit ball. These consist points Bd whose minimal distance asymptotically as large possible. We show that for belonging an family, L(X)??(|X|1/d) holds, bound being sharp. On other hand, building on earlier results, prove L(X)?O(|X|2/d) holds d?2, which improves greatly upper O(|X|(d+1)/2d) d?3. Finally, provide recursive construction satisfy L(X)=?(|X|2/d?1/(d2d?1)), showing our nearly tight.
